A one-year master’s in the UK is attractive to Pakistani students because many full-time postgraduate degrees can be completed faster than two-year master’s programmes elsewhere. That can reduce the total period of living costs, but it does not automatically make every UK master’s inexpensive.
Who can apply from Pakistan?
Universities set their own entry rules. A recognised Pakistani bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject is commonly required, with minimum grades or CGPA varying by institution and programme. Competitive programmes may also ask for work experience, prerequisite modules or a portfolio.
English requirements
IELTS Academic is widely accepted, but many UK universities also accept other approved tests or institution-specific evidence. Do not assume the same score applies to every programme. Check overall and component requirements.
How much does a one-year master’s cost?
British Council Study UK currently gives a broad international postgraduate tuition range of roughly £9,000 to £30,000, depending on course and institution. Business, laboratory and specialist programmes can differ materially. Add accommodation, food, transport, visa costs, health surcharge and deposits to your budget.
