Pakistani students applying for an Australia Student visa (Subclass 500) should prepare their financial and supporting evidence before lodging. Home Affairs can refuse an application if required evidence is missing.
Financial capacity
Where financial evidence is required, applicants must be able to cover travel, up to 12 months of course fees, living costs and any applicable family or school costs. Evidence can include eligible bank deposits, loans or scholarships. Home Affairs may also consider qualifying annual parental or partner income under the rules.
Common visa documents
- Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE).
- Valid passport.
- OSHC evidence.
- English-language evidence where required.
- Financial-capacity evidence where required.
- Genuine Student information and supporting documents.
- Health/character documents where applicable.
Genuine access to funds
If another person is supporting you, the Department may consider the relationship, source of funds and whether you genuinely have access to the money. Keep your financial story clear and well documented.
Do not copy a generic GS statement
Your explanation should match your education, chosen course, provider, career direction and personal circumstances. Generic or contradictory statements can weaken the application.
