Pakistani students can apply for Australian bachelor’s programmes after completing FSc, ICS, FA, ICom, HSSC/Intermediate or A Levels, but universities assess the qualification, grades and prerequisite subjects differently.

What universities check

  • Recognised secondary-school qualification.
  • Overall grades and competitive entry score.
  • Required subjects for the chosen degree.
  • English-language proficiency.
  • Any portfolio, interview or additional requirement.

Direct entry vs foundation/pathway

Some Pakistani qualifications may support direct bachelor admission at certain providers, while other students may be offered a foundation, diploma or pathway route. Do not choose a pathway only because it is easier; compare total duration, cost and progression conditions.

Engineering, CS and health programmes

For technical or health-related degrees, prerequisite mathematics/science subjects can be important. A strong overall percentage does not automatically compensate for a missing prerequisite.

English requirements

IELTS, PTE and other accepted tests vary by provider and course. Professional programmes may require higher scores than general degrees. Check both university admission rules and Student visa English requirements.

Financial and visa planning

After admission, students generally need a CoE, OSHC and Student visa application. Financial-capacity and Genuine Student evidence may be required. Build a complete budget before paying a deposit.
