After receiving admission in Malaysia, Pakistani students normally move into the Student Pass process coordinated through the institution and Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS).
Step 1: Receive an offer
Your institution starts or supports the Student Pass/VAL process after you meet admission conditions and provide the required documents.
Step 2: Prepare EMGS documents
EMGS commonly requires passport information, offer/admission documents, academic certificates and transcripts, health declaration information, photographs and English-language evidence.
Accepted English tests
Current EMGS guidance lists accepted tests including IELTS, TOEFL iBT, TOEFL Essentials, PTE Academic, Cambridge English qualifications/Linguaskill, MUET, OET and ELS CIEP. Your university determines the admission score you need.
Step 3: Visa Approval Letter (VAL)
Once the application is processed and approved through the required authorities, the VAL supports your entry/student immigration process. Follow the institution and EMGS instructions for any Single Entry Visa requirement that applies to your nationality.
Step 4: Travel and medical screening
EMGS states that new international students must attend an in-country medical screening at an approved panel clinic within 7 working days of arrival. Failure to complete the screening can stop Student Pass endorsement from progressing.
Step 5: Student Pass endorsement
After completing the required arrival, medical and institutional steps, the Student Pass endorsement is processed. Keep your institution informed and follow its international-student office instructions.
