For Pakistani students applying to a master’s degree in Sweden, the national admissions system has clear country-specific rules in addition to each programme’s own academic prerequisites.
Academic requirements
Meeting the general degree requirement does not guarantee admission. Master’s programmes can require specific previous subjects, credits, grades, portfolio work or relevant professional experience.
English requirement
Pakistani upper-secondary studies do not automatically meet Sweden’s English requirement. Most English-taught master’s programmes require an accepted international English test or another approved form of evidence. Exact levels differ by programme.

- Degree certificate or final diploma.
- Official transcripts.
- English-language evidence.
- Passport/identity information.
- Programme-specific documents such as CV, statement, references or portfolio where required.
Application strategy
Use the first international admissions round where possible. Apply only to programmes where your previous coursework matches the published prerequisites; this matters especially in engineering, computer science, data science and specialised business programmes.
After admission
Fee-paying students normally need to pay the required tuition before they are considered finally admitted for residence-permit purposes. Then prepare financial maintenance and residence-permit documents.
