If you want to start university in the United States in Fall 2027, planning from Pakistan should begin much earlier than the visa stage. EducationUSA recommends starting undergraduate research around 12-18 months before the academic year you hope to enrol.

Documents Pakistani students should prepare
- School/university transcripts and certificates.
- Passport.
- English test where required.
- Personal essays or statement.
- Recommendation letters.
- Financial documents for admission/I-20 where requested.
- SAT/GRE/GMAT only where the programme requires or benefits from them.
Do not shortlist by ranking alone
EducationUSA advises students to find the institution that fits their academic, financial and personal needs. Compare programme strength, total annual cost, scholarship availability, location, class size and career resources.
Scholarship timing matters
Many scholarships and merit awards have earlier priority deadlines than standard admission. Treat financial aid as part of the application strategy, not something to consider after admission.
